Otros Poemas Sencillos-More Simple Poems by Carlos Tarrac was one of the 231 finalists at the Latino Literacy Now’s International Book Awards. Award winning author and finalist books will be presented at events such as the American Library Association Convention, CABE Conference, Chicago Latino Book & Family Festival, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, the NCLR Annual Conference, San Bernardino Latino Book & Family Festival, LULAC National Convention in New York and other events. The awards ceremony will be held June 28th in Las Vegas as part of the ALA Conference.

Ossie Arciniega’s recent CD Release and Concert took place on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the La Jolla Summit Club House in La Jolla, California.

OPERISSIMO, with Kasondra and Salvador, took place on April 13, 2014 at the Sherwood Auditorium in the Museum of contemporary Art in La Jolla, California.

The "Route 78 Rotary Club Mariachi Festival" took place on March 30, 2013 at the Center for the Arts in Escondido in partnership with the Mariachi Scholarship Foundation. The main performance featured Mariachi Garibaldi, Mariachi Femenil Garibaldi, Chula Vista High School and Middle School mariachis and Ballet Folklórico Tierra Caliente.

The international Guitarist and Composer Julio de la Huerta was honored on March 27, 2013 in A Musical Soiree With Julio de la Huerta at the Santa Fe Room in Balboa Park. Carlos Velasco accompanied Julio with the guitar and Salvador Padilla on the piano. The vocalists in this outstanding concert were Bernardo Bermudez, Daniel Hendrick, Kasondra Kazanjian, Roman Palacios and Salvador Padilla along with many special guests.

Poet Abel Salas, Editor and publisher of Brooklyn and Boyle and Carlos Tarrac performed last March 6, 2014 at the After Hours Seguimos Creando Enlaces hosted by LIBROS, the San Diego Chapter of Reforma at San Diego Central Library.

The San Diego Public Library 48^th Annual Local Author Exhibit was a great success. It took place at the new Central Library during February 2014 with the participation of approximately 400 titles written by San Diego County authors during 2013. One of these books was Otros Poemas Sencillos-More Simple Poems by Carlos F. Tarrac.
